Ahmad Antar is an athlete from Special Olympics Lebanon in the Middle East North Africa Region. Ahmad participates in basketball and football. He has been involved in Special Olympics since 2014.
Ahmad’s favorite part about Special Olympics is inclusion sports.
Ahmad is excited for the congress in Berlin. He is looking forward to the Young Leaders Conference and is excited to talk about and motivate inclusion.
Ahmad is a second-year student at a vocational institute of commerce and accounting. When Ahmad isn’t studying or competing, he enjoys reading and writing poems and stories.
Ahmad says that being an athlete leader means being a sports leader and helping players to develop their physical skills, self-confidence, show their hidden talents, and feel a sense of responsibility towards them.
Project Description
Ahmad’s grant plan is to develop athlete leaders’ personal and professional skills. He will do this through a combination of virtual and in-person training sessions to work on athletes’ personal and professional skill development. He will work to define what the training agenda will cover according to the athletes’ needs and expectations. After the training there will be an evaluation. Ahmad will target about 25 participants in hopes that at least 8 will be interested and succeed.
