I am a public health scientist with a background in epidemiology and sports medicine. In my role at Special Olympics, I collaborate with experts to design and perform research to identify prevalent or burdensome injuries or conditions among persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), develop interventions that may be implemented in a clinical setting or on a broad policy level, and evaluate their efficacy or effectiveness. I work in collaboration with academics, clinicians, administrators, policy makers, and others to develop and implement change that fosters physical and mental wellbeing for individuals with IDD, family members and others in the community.
