Road to USA Games Challenge: Evaluation Report

The Road to USA Games Challenge report highlights the results of a 20-week fitness journey leading up to the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. Athletes took on the goal of walking one million steps, keeping track of their fruits and veggies, and sharing health tips through an app that the SOI Fitness Team developed. With 52 athlete Challenge Leaders supporting their teammates through weekly meet ups, email tips and shoutouts, the project aimed to encourage exercise and healthy eating before the big event. The report shows 53% of athletes walked at least 7,000 steps daily, 65% reported improved health, and 81% were more active due to the challenge.
