Mary Gu Shuhang has been the CEO of CAA China, the joint venture between Creative Artists Agency and China Media Capital, since 2017. Prior to joining CAA, she was at Special Olympics, Inc. as the Regional President, and Managing Director of East Asia. For the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, Gu served as the Vice President of the Executive Committee, Director of Public Relations, and Deputy Director of large-scale events for the steering committee. And she managed the Games’ fundraising campaigns and produced the Opening Ceremony.
In addition to various roles at Special Olympics, Gu was President of the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. She is also a co-founder of China’s premier track and field event, the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix, and previously served in senior capacities for such luxury hotel brands as Ritz-Carlton and Shangri-La.
