Asia Pacific Face-To-Face Fundraising And Telemarketing
Special Olympics Asia Pacific (SOAP) relies on Face-to-Face fundraising and telemarketing to fund our essential programs, including year-round sports training, athletic competitions, and health and leadership development for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) across 34 countries in the Asia Pacific region, such as India, Singapore, Australia, and the Pacific Islands among others.
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted our operations, leading to an 84% drop in Athlete Engagement. Support is crucial to help us restart, rebuild, and reclaim our reach in the region.

Special Olympics Guam (SOGU) organization is about Respect, Dignity and Compassion. We provide a healthy, happy, safe and inclusive environment for our athletes with the help of our Island Community. Our Revolution of Inclusion is a mindset, a movement and goal for everyone to open their minds, hearts and commit to including people with intellectual disabilities, recognizing their abilities and NOT their disabilities. SOGU works to create an environment by which athletes are nurtured through sports and life skills that will empower them with confidence and build their self-esteem to be independent and productive citizens of our island community. Our athletes are not just athletes but ambassadors of uprising peaceful protestors whose lives are challenged by their disabilities. Our Athletes strive for equality, dignity and recognition into our island community.

Special Olympics Guam (SOGU) is a registered non-profit organization on Guam for over forty years. SOGU is accredited and recognized under the Special Olympics Asia Pacific (SOAP) region overseen by Special Olympics International (SOI), the governing body for this Global Movement. Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Those activities give them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship. -

Special Olympics Vietnam is recognized as a Founding Committee. A Founding Committee is a group of people who join together and apply to Special Olympics International for recognition and the right to use the name "Special Olympics" with the ultimate goal of being accredited as a Program.
